Furadoxine is the drug par excellence for the treatment of bacterial infections. Furadoxine is administered to treat and prevent the further development of infections already present in the animal (salmonella, E-Coli).
Dosage:
- For prevention during the racing season- 1 measuring spoon (= 5 gr) for 20 pigeons (10 kgs live-weight/1l drinking water) during 1 or 2 days, every 2 weeks. Preferably starting the day after the race.
- As a treatment- 1 measuring spoon (= 5 gr.) for 10 kgs of live-weight during 5–7 successive days. This cure may be repeated, if necessary, after a few days.
Furadoxine is a water soluble powder, it can also be given over the feed.
In most cases, this product may be combined if necessary with other DAC medicines.
Do not combine with broomhexine, zoalene or carbadox!
